Notice from Creator (Jamaflam),
I created Xablor as a dragon puppet in real life. As an unwritten rule in the Dragon Puppeteering Fandom, please do not take inspiration or copy this puppet. I decided to add him onto Creepypasta Files Wikia because he is one of my only horror puppets. Thank you, and enjoy reading.
Nom, nom, nom!
~ Xablor's catchphrase.

Xablor - also known as The Masked Crow - is...

Background Information[]

Xablor was created close to Halloween in 2023. Jamaflam took inspiration from one of her earlier puppets, Bachelor, who was her first masked puppet. For Xablor, she decided to make the mask a crow's skull. He was made using a cardboard base, wool, and art pens.

Personality[]

Xablor is a quiet dragon, and prefers to hide his identity under his signature crow skull mask. Wearing this, he feels more confident and appears more aggressive. He is also self conscious of his injuries, and hates scaring children, which is why he created the mask. All Xablor wants is to start a family and be happy, but so far, he has found no luck in finding a mate.

Appearance[]

Before his death, he was a wingless dragon who uses floatation (see Powers/Abilities) to travel long distances. He was a white and fairly plump dragon with a large set of wings and a tail which ended with a plume.

After his death and reanimation, Xablor is now a long, skeletal creature. He now has blood remaining on a lot of his face as well as his legs and neck. His remaining flesh is on his face and on his muzzle. His eyes still remain, and glow in the night as he hunts. His face is covered in blood and there I a big opening, revealing his skull and flesh inside. He also has multiple stitches.

His mask, which he made himself, was made from a giant crow's skull, and he painted it as so not to scare young humans, but it also gives his prey a false sense of security. He named his mask "Zabi", after his own name.

Lore[]

Before his death, he was actively seeking a mate, as most dragons do. In his spare time, he would collect the skulls of the rodents he feasted on, and paint them. He would also carve different things out of wood with his own tools made from bone. Unfortunately, one fateful night, he decided to venture out to find himself a mate. His pure white scales didn't protect him nor gave him the camouflage he needed against a group of hunters, who were looking to poach dragons' of their unique features, and they did this by assassinating the creatures.

As Xablor ventured on, he did not realize the dangers. One hunter spotted his pearly form, and gestured to his group to follow the dragon. Two men went up ahead to set down a trap; a grenade which, once the pin was removed, would explode upon the next contact. One of the men set the bomb in the grass, and removed the pin slowly, being careful not to accidentally touch the bomb twice. Once ready, the men retreated quietly just as Xablor was nearing.

Xablor, of course, did not know of the trap, and he had no time to escape before the trap activated. He walked on towards his death unknowingly. The hunters watched him from in the bushes, anticipating the moment and nudging each other in excitement.

As soon as Xablor's paw touched the shell of the grenade, the explosion happened. Being so close in the bomb's range, Xablor's body was highly affected, his flesh literally ripping away from his skeleton. Thankfully, his face wasn't as affected, being that it was so high up away from the grenade. However, a bit of his muzzle ripped off, and instinctively turned his head and tried to cover it with his fleshless claws. All of this happened within seconds, and before he could fully process what was happening, he was knocked out into what should be his forever sleep.

When he next woke, he didn't remember anything, only what had caused him to fall unconscious and what he was doing in the forest at night. Enraged, he got up, but noticed he was more stiff than he was previously. He also had only one thing on his mind that he knew he needed to do; find whoever did this to him and kill them. He didn't know who, but he knew children couldn't have done this. Too young and innocent. Teenagers? Unless they were insane, he didn't think they would go around with bombs. It must have been adults. Immature, sly, greedy and power-hungry adult humans.

He needed something, however, that would help him appear more friendly....to both friends and foe. Also so he couldn't scare his future mate. Then he thought...he was good at painting, and he could decorate a large skull of some sort and wear it...

Xablor wandered around, and noticed the cave up in the mountains. He knew larger creatures usually lived up on mountains, so he decided to try there. He tried to flap his wings, but nothing happened. For the first time, he knew there was something wrong. Xablor looked at his body and saw his fleshless skeleton from his neck down. Shocked, he knew he couldn't have survived the explosion. He must be dead. But how?! He was walking on his own paws. But he needed to get back to his mission, and so he just decided to climb the mountain, even if it would take longer.

When he reached the top, Xablor took a minute to rest before exploring the cave, while looking around for any signs of potential traps. When he made it to a large, open space in the cave, he saw a few different creatures; giant crows, coyotes and a variety of different rodents. Xablor looked at the rodents hugrily and longingly, but shook his head and looked towards a giant crow. The skull of this unusual creature would be perfect for a helmet to cover his face.

Xablor crouched down into a hunting stance, and picked the crow closest to him. It's back was turned, so Xablor could easily take it down. He positioned himself before pouncing, his skeletal claws digging through the feathers and into the crow's flesh. The crow struggled to free itself, and squawked in distress. As soon as it did, it's fellow crows turned their heads to Xablor, angry that he was killing one of their members. Xablor knew he had to flee, and after silencing his prey, he ran out of the cave and jumped off of the cliff. But he didn't fall.

Instead, he was floating in a straight line in the direction of the place where, just a few hours ago, he had awoken as a member of the undead. Stunned, Xablor once again looked down at his skeletal body. He was definitely floating. It must be because he had wings when he was alive. Now, it was like he had his wings, but they weren't actually there...maybe they are phantom wings?

As he was in this state of confusion, Xablor almost didn't notice the angry squawks of the crows behind him. He turned, and sure enough, the big black birds were coming closer, glaring at him. Xablor remembered his power of telekinesis that he used to pick up a paintbrush and decorate skulls with. He decided to give the ability a shot again, and see if it would protect him for at least a few minutes so that he could hide.

Xablor summoned up all of his courage and glared at the crows. Immediately, the crows were blasted and blown far away by some sort of invisible force, and Xablor knew that it had worked. Without hesitation, he went towards his hideout far in the woods, darting in between the trees.

Once he arrived, Xablor made sure that the crows hadn't followed him after being stunned. He saw nothing, but there could have been a few crows who weren't blown away. Once he had made sure he was safe, Xablor got to work. He teared away at the flesh of his prey, before removing the skull of the crow from the rest of the skeleton. Xablor then made sure that the skull was clean by licking it with what remained of his tongue, before setting to work on decorating the skull.

Once he had finished, Xablor admired his work before placing it over his head. It fitted him perfectly, and felt better about himself.

From then on, Xablor continues his hunt for his killers, but also guides lost children back to the entrance to the forest. He kills any adult who trespasses into the forest out of fear that they could potentially be part of his murder.

Powers/Abilities[]

Telekinesis[]

Xablor is capable of moving objects through mind control, and can use them as a tool or a weapon if he wanted to.

Hibernation[]

Xablor hides underground to hibernate in the winter periods, as he hardly rests, hunting day and night for a mate or his killers. Winter time is where it is least likely to encounter humans in the forest, so Xablor chooses to take a long nap during this time.

Glowing Eyes[]

Xablor's eyes glow at night.

Floatation[]

I made this ability for some of my dragon OCs and puppets. It basically allows a dragon to fly, or rather float, without the need of wings. Not the same as levitation.

Trivia[]

  • Xablor was created by Jamaflam.
  • If Xablor was to have a Zodiac, it would be Cancer (not because of his date of creation, more to do with his temperament and personality).
  • Xablor's favourite rodent to eat is squirrel.
  • His Prime (upgraded) variant may likely have a more scary and detailed mask, with more shape and holes on it.
  • Xablor uses he/they pronouns.
  • Xablor is attracted to females (straight)
    • He is family-orientated, and is actively looking for a mate to start a family with.
