Ok, so this is a subject that kind of bothers me. There are two kinds of Creepypasta fans: Kind A (like myself)
- Writes/reads fanfiction
- Respects the Creepypasta fandom and the creators of the Creepypasta OC's.
- Browses Deviantart for cool OC designs.
- Looks up horror story prompts for a good OC origin story, or brainstorms for something original.
- Listens/watches Jordan Persegati narrate the stories, because, c'mon honey. Jordan Persegati's art is gorgeous.
- Makes fanart.
- CONSTANTLY takes Mary Sue/Gary Stu creepypasta OC tests. (Mainly since they don't want their precious OC to be something like a certain cheap knock-off I can think of. CoughNinacough.)
- All the normal and reasonable stuff people would do if the were in any other fandom, aside from the Creepypasta oc stuff and Jordan Persegati.
And then there are those fans who:
- Suffer from the delusion the fanmade Creepypastas (such as Nina, Eyeless Jack, Sally, Jeff, Toby, ect) are real.
- Constantly cause fights with those who try to convince them otherwise.
- Can 'relate' to the characters.
- Make up stories about how they encountered 'real live creepypastas i'm not kidding and now their mad that you said they arent real and now their going to find you and kill you'
- Post those 'How to Summon (insert famous Creepypasta character name hear)' on Wattpad or in comments of the wiki.
- Have gone as far as to say something like; "I'm being bullied too, and I want to kill my bullies too, like Jeff."
What I'm trying to say this that don't you think that some fans of this fandom can be gullible? Maybe naive? Hell, I don't want to sound rude, but maybe even stupid. Why on Earth would one say they can relate to people such as serial killers, psycho/sociopaths, and supernatural freaks?! WHY would someone feel its okay to kill someone just because they're giving you a problem?! I mean, self defense and what not is one thing, but bullying is another! It's so wrong, and on so many levels. If anyone is reading this and actually agreeing with this, then you need to stop and get a therapist. Shame on you for thinking it's okay to end someone's life, only to end your own suffering. You're hurt. I get that. But that's not an excuse.
My point is, haven't you noticed how some people are getting a little too serious about the Creepypasta fandom? It's even got dangerous! Lets not forget about the Slenderman stabbings, people! Not to mention that good characters (such as Toby) are being taken out of the fandom because of things like this. If you've ever wondered why the community is so small, it's because of all of this. The fandom causing their own downfall. It's sad really. I've been wanting to using my own OC in the fandom, but chances are, I won't be able to because the fandom will be dead. And I'm sure that I'm not the only one that agrees with this.
