So, I'm a nosy person that always needs to know everything. Where are my manners? My name is Mason and yes, like I said earlier, I’m a very nosy person. I feel like I need to know everything, like for example when who was the boy that drowned in the river at Disneyland's rivers of America and everything. I never worked at the Disney parks so I would always make sure to learn how, or what caused stuff like this to happen? So when I heard about the ride 20,000 leagues under the sea being closed down. I began to wonder 'why?' and I was wondering why close the ride down; it was so popular at both parks? Both versions of the attractions at both Disney parks were closed down. Why? I began searching on my computer that I had in my basement. I then put in the search bar of google why did 20,000 leagues under the sea. At both Disney parks closed down? And it popped up and just said stuff on Wikipedia saying that it was closed due to financial issues and problems with the ride and so on. I was just beginning to think that my favorite Disney attraction at the magic kingdom was left abandoned and Disneyland had there’s still open but replaced by finding nemo submarine voyage. I was upset but there was nothing I could do, and I thought that Disney world would do the same thing with their attraction right? Well, I was wrong. After at least 10 years later it was still just staying with the lagoon drained; What was going on? I eventually lost it, and thought that I should try to explore the area where the attraction was, but I was waiting for so long, then I heard that the attraction was -like I said earlier- drained.

And so I packed my bags and brought a camera with me, and bought a ticket to Florida and the airport that had the buses take you to the hotel you're booked in, and when I arrived at the location of the resort I would be staying at, the first place I went to after packing in my hotel room. I  took the camera with me to the magic kingdom with my wristband and I even wore a hoodie to hide a headband flashlight, and I was still allowed in the park. Now I'll say this was before metal detectors were even a thing so that's why I got the camera in. I then began walking to the area where the old ride was at and as I arrived at 20,000 leagues under the sea and there was a barricade blocking my way in getting in. I was really upset and felt like I just spent money for no reason coming here. I then saw someone roll over a full on garbage trunk. And just left it there for some reason. So I peaked over the barricade by jumping on top of the garbage trunk and no one was paying attention. I made a full look to make sure no one was inside the attraction. And when everything was clear I jumped in and as I did I slipped and lost my balance and slid down until I hit my head on the walls of the attraction and then everything went dark.

I woke up and saw that the sky had turned very dark. And was only having the lights on at buildings and lamp posts. I was beginning to walk around and then I finally found a door and opened and was greeted with some water coming out and I felt chunks of props hitting my legs cause the water had this kinda chunky feeling, like spoiled milk. But I knew it was just the props beginning to deteriorate. I grabbed the headband flashlight from the pocket on my hoodie. I then put it on my head and turned the light on. And I was greeted to the rocky terrain and pipes to the water above my head and I was at the part where you are now in Atlantis and I saw some of the statue of the head that was leaning by one of the pillars. And then I saw the sea serpents tail and I began following it. As it was my favorite part of the ride. And as I followed the tail I reached its head And I was creeped out. The sea serpents eyes were this bronze color as if it was deteriorating into this bronze color. And I left the thing to photograph last. I began walking through the attraction and saw some of the props with coral, and even robotic fish missing their fins. Even one had a chunk of the robot's skin missing and revealing its mechanical body. I grabbed my camera and snapped a photo of the robots. After I took the photo the photo fell and I caught it before it could hit the water and I saw the robotic fish peeking their head out of the coral prop but one thing didn’t fit in. I saw a pair of rusted orange eyes and I then remembered about the sea serpent. I held the photo in my hand and began walking to the sea serpent and it was still there. I looked at the photo and looked at the area of where the eyes were. I then looked at the robot and the eyes on the photo matched up with the ones on the photo. I could barely even think straight but I was curious about the fact if this was true. I began shaking the photo, blowing on the photo and still those eyes were there. But I thought I was just seeing things so I continued on. I was about to leave the sea serpent and I swear I thought I heard something. It sounded like a prop fell. I couldn’t see anything without the light and I turned my head towards the direction where the sound came.

“Hello…? who’s there?” I asked out. No response. All I could hear was the buzzing of my headlamp. I walked through the props towards where the noise was and I saw the prop that had a fake person in the prop that looks like the outfit that looks like those old 1900s movies that dealt with people going underwater. The head part of the prop had some algae on the glass. And the prop was laying down on the ground and was laying on the ground. I took a photo of the prop on its front side and I made sure I didn’t see the sea serpent and this time the sea serpent wasn’t in the photo. I picked up the prop by its head and then it’s outfit slid off and I saw bones and flesh and the body looked like it was mauled. The body was shown with it skins shown and some other times had its second layer of skin being shown. And had sometimes it’s bone sticking out. And the one thing I noticed was the bite marks on the person's arm it looked identical to an alligator but how could an alligator get in the attraction. Now there was no way that an alligator could get in here. What did an alligator do lockpick his way into this place. No. I don’t know but I had this odd feeling that it was something to do with the sea serpent. I began to hear footsteps behind me. And so I turned around but before I could the thing was running away to hide. I ran to the area at where the sea serpent part of the ride. And sure enough it was there. But it was having its head aimed as if it was looking at me. I felt like I was going crazy. I walked left and the robot's head slowly turned its head at me. And I felt like the robot had a code in it where it sees an object it follows that object but It didn’t do that when I first saw it. Must have been a malfunction. I felt like leaving. But I wanted to take a picture of the sea serpent and I did. Here’s the photo.

I was about to walk out But before I could make a run for the exit I heard the door knob beginning to be turned. I ran to the walls that hid the tail. I then heard two people talking to each other and I swear the conversation they had was something that I will never forget. It went like this.

“I can’t believe we haven’t taken this place down!”

“Neither can I. But we’re low on money so until we get enough money we’ll get rid of this attraction!”

“God, I don’t know why we’re feeding the sea serpent actual humans!”

“I don’t think this park knows that stealing dead bodies from graveyards is illegal!”

“I don’t think they do!” I began hearing a dumpster being opened because they left the door open, and they were dragging something. I then heard the bag open up and then the people grabbed something and threw it down.

“We’re sorry!” they both said.

They walked out of the place and I thought I was gonna hear the door close but no. They left it open for some reason. I then heard something roll down the concrete hill and it just landed at the sea serpents feet. I then heard scaly skin drag on the ground with footsteps. Not human footsteps. Robotic footsteps. I then saw the sea serpents tail move. I then peaked from the corner and felt my stomach turn into a million knots. I saw the sea serpent feasting on the corpse as blood was being squirted and spreading in the water. It then looked at me with blood dripping from its mouth and then my light died and I began hearing its footsteps. I ran through the attraction but I had no light. I began using my camera as a flashlight but it would only flash once so I only had 1 seconds of light every time I pressed the button. I pressed it the first time and saw coral and the lost city of Atlantis. I ran behind the statue of the head and hid. All I could hear was the footsteps of the sea serpent and I was peaking my camera out and taking pictures. The flash was imminent and the light flashed a little quicker as it was about to die. I heard the serpent roar in curiosity and I was pretty creeped out by that. I grabbed the photo that came out and saw the sea serpent looking for me in the photo. I was running through the place and the sea serpent roared in anger and began chasing me. I don’t get how this robot didn’t even stop working. It's a robot for god sakes. A robot that was abandoned for at least 10 years.

I stopped taking pictures after that. I then heard the sea serpent on my left and had its head peeking around the corner and looking at me but it didn’t attack me. I was confused. I'm right in front of the creature. How can’t it see me? I then remembered that its eyes were rusted and covered in orange. Was the sea serpent blinded? Yes. Could it still hear me? Yes. I grabbed the strap around my neck and the camera went with the strap I threw forward in front of me and it landed on the button and it took a picture and the sea serpent went the way the camera did and continued on. I ran to grab the photo that came out of the camera. I stopped and then saw the door left wide open. I ran and the sea serpent began to run at full speed faster than a hippo. And charging through the props at me. I got past the door and the sea serpent was snapping with blood flinging onto me. And then I kicked at the sea serpent it then gave up and then walked back into place as the sun rose as today was a new day. I looked at my hand and saw the photo with the serpent looking in the direction of the camera and me the person who was looking at the sea serpent in pure terror. I was caught and banned from Disney world for 10 years. They let me grab my luggage except for my camera but gave me the memory and I uploaded the photo I had when I was up close to the sea serpent. And every day I see that photo. It reminds of why they left their attraction submarine voyage at the magic kingdom abandoned, and it's because they didn’t want anything like the sea serpent getting out. And after the 10 years of me waiting to go to Disney world. Every time I walk into the area where Winnie the Pooh's Play place is at. I don’t see it as that. I see it as the abandoned attraction 20,000 leagues under the sea. I will say that I still have the memory still and every time I’m home and see the photo I took of the sea serpent. Just pinned on my board. It reminds me of that bad day.
