Sevenmouth is a secretive religious organisation, or more specifically a widespread cult, located primarily in the USA, but also has branches in the UK, France, the Middle-East and Israel. They have become known for shady tactics to increase its number or followers, such as recruiting ex-convicts and the homeless, as well as using several brainwashing techniques to acquire the followers' full devotion to its cause. The cult's current leader is Clarisse Delacroix, who succeeded her late aunt, Abigail Delacroix.
History[]
Not much is known about the origin of Sevenmouth (or what the previous versions of the sect was called) other than that they have apparently been around for a long time, spanning decades, though according to their sister sect, The Children of the Golden Light, they might have been around for much longer.
Sevenmouth's purpose is the be the "spiritual bridge" between the mortal plain and those "beyond the veil" (AKA the domain of God) and all the celestial beings that dwell just out of reach of humanity, within and beyond the cosmos. Though the cult believes in many of these "deities", they do not so much as worship them but acknowledge their existence and see them as potential teachers and saviours of mankind. Their ultimate goal is to perceive the presence of God, and to bring God to Earth so that humanity can be "enlightened", to end all suffering and sin.
However, a goal as large and as seemingly impossible as this requires many resources, as well as preparations for ceremonies in order to enact such a task, so Sevenmouth acquires as many of these resources as it can, including financial help from other organisations (such as charities), followers and religious/occult texts and knowledge in ways of contacting the "Outer Plains" in a safe and effective manner. While Sevenmouth ultimately procures these resources in a more persuasive and "trustworthy" manner, sometimes force is applied, especially when recruiting certain individuals for the cult.
The Projects/Operations[]
The organisation has gotten so large and so influential that it has seeped into many different aspects of modern society, from the local police department to government officials. Sevenmouth has been able to influence those with the power of authority who have joined their cause. One such individual is British-American senator who is planning on running for future presidency. This political campaign is part of Sevenmouth's operations to gain more power and influence over the common people, codenamed "Operation: Gilded Cage".
If the religious practices of Sevenmouth were to fail in producing any viable results, or has been deemed to dangerous to proceed, than a contingency plan has been put into effect by one of the more 'scientific' sects of Sevenmouth.
This contingency plan is known as the "Genesis Project". Little is known about this secretive project, only that it requires human subjects for genome testing, as several pregnant women had their unborn children seized by supposed medical officials and other unscrupulous individuals (usually those dealing in the underground organ-trading market) under a falsified 'legal' document under an apparent governmental procedure known as "Procedure G10-7".
One speculation of the Genesis Project (by a currently undisclosed individual) is that it is a project dedicated to "devolving" the human race to a more primal state, making them easier to control in the far future.
Other Sects[]
While Sevenmouth is the primary organisation, it is mostly an umbrella name for a variety of different sects, with Sevenmouth itself being a somewhat "recent" addition as the name and rejuvenation was part of Clarisse Delacroix's doing. Other Sects exist outside of the main Sevenmouth Organisation, but remain connected either as an offshoot or a 'sister sect'.
One such sect is The Children of the Golden Light, a highly religious independent commune in the Negev Desert in Southern Israel. Their main goal is to protect a sacred location known as "Monarch's Pyramid", a gigantic five-sided pyramid hidden between to mountains. The location of the pyramid remains undisclosed, and satellite imagery is unable to detect it (though this could be due to the cult's inside members erasing it's digital existence from the web). The pyramid itself is said to be primarily used as an "initiation ceremony" for the cult's future leaders. Members of the Children of the Golden Light are most recognisable for having clean-shaven heads along with adorning themselves in white and golden robes.
Another sect is The Order of Lu-Ra Kysh. Stationed throughout the Middle-East and Mediterranean, The Order devoutly worship various deities and teach others of these cosmic entities by means of recruitment. Though not as widespread as Sevenmouth itself, nor as influential, they fiercely devote themselves to the teachings of these deities and encourage new members to leave their earthly ties behind to live with the nomadic commune.
The Order leader teach their followers from the Book of Lu-Ra Kysh, the same religious book that Sevenmouth utilises for research and teaching, along with its sister book, The Book of S'loi-Aark, in which The Children of the Golden Light has possession of. Whilst The Book of S'loi-Aark teaches about the beginning of our world, The Book of Lu-Ra Kysh tells how the world and humanity itself will end. Both books contain cryptic instructions on several bizarre and horrific rituals, as well as depictions of eldritch horrors that present themselves as either Gods or Demons, and even other worlds that our parallel to ours. The members of The Order all wear uniform white robes and blue moon-shaped emblems, and worship various deities depicted in their holy book, such as Saidon, The Walking Tempest.
Lastly, The Utopian Foundation, unlike the previous sects, is not a religious cult but a scientific organisation devoted to the preservation and/or control of humankind. While they still uphold the traditional beliefs of Sevenmouth, this sect's primary goal is largely that of a biological nature, as many experiments of theirs have involved human subjects. Their goals are a close-guarded secret, and are primarily in place as a sort of "fail-safe" to Sevenmouth's plans.
The Members[]
The members of Sevenmouth are divided into various groups. Primarily, The Cherubs, The Hands, and The Mouths.
The Cherubs take on the role of security, custodian and maintenance detail, looking after the Sevenmouth's main base of operations; The Cathedral, as well as being generally the lowest ranking members of Sevenmouth. Though occasionally, a Cherub will rise through the ranks and be selected for a particular project or mission. One such Cherub was a government official named Frederick James Cardinal, who was selected for Operation: Gilded Cage.
The Hands are highly experienced assassins and enforcers of Sevenmouth, ordered to carry out the more grisly tasks of Sevenmouth such as stopping certain individuals from interfering with the cult's plans. Unlike the Cherubs, many of the hands are hand selected and allowed to keep their "individuality" as part of their own area of expertise. The Hands include:

The Mouths are six of the highest members of Sevenmouth and are essential for the ritual to summon God. Their mission is for one of them to conceive a child and use it for the ritual. The six Mouth's identities are currently hidden.
