The Martel Twins

Backstory[]

Lorelei and Constance Martel were sent to a church school at the age of five, making the church their new home until they were to be 18. The church members were extremely abusive towards all the children. Constance became extremely protective to her sister, not wanting her to be harmed. Most kids were punished severely for small “sins” that they would commit.

When the two turned the age of eleven, the priests and nuns had gotten "messages from God" to kill the two sisters so they could be forgiven of their sins. One night a group of nuns and a priest took Constance and Lorelei from their shared room and brought them to the woods before cutting Constance's off head with a hand saw while chanting prayers. Lorelei was worried and cried and screamed for her sister. They poured bleach that they had heated up into her eyes before leaving them to rot in the woods. Lorelei died from a mix of starvation, dehydration, and infection. She spent her last moments alive hugging her dead sisters rotting body.

Appearances[]

Lorelei has long, messy, and very light blonde hair, almost looking to be white. Her eyes are completely bloodshot, including her irises. She also has blood staining the area around her eyes. She wears a slightly large button up nightshirt with a long black skirt underneath that goes over her knees. She has a gold ribbon bow under the collar of the shirt and a loose cross necklace. She has light brown socks that are stained with dirt. The sleeves of her shirt are stained with blood from hugging Constance's dead body.

Constance wears a white nightgown that's stained with blood and dirt with a red ribbon bow under the collar and a loose golden cross necklace. She has black socks that are stained with dirt and grass, but it's not very visible. When she was alive she had dark brown hair that went to her shoulders and hazel eyes.

Personalities[]

Lorelei is a very loving and purehearted girl and has plenty of kindness in her heart to give around. She could also be shy at times towards people she would feel threatened or scared by. She is a naturally tired person and is able to fall asleep anywhere, anytime, anyplace, which often causes Constance to worry about her because she doesn't want people to take advantage of her sister while vulnerable. But Lorelei finds it easier to fall asleep when in the comfort of her sister's presence.

Constance is very strong willed, staying to what she believes and not falling astray from her thoughts. She is protective to those she cares about and trusts but it isn’t easy for her trust to be given to someone due to trust issues from her parents and the church. She is far more stubborn than her sister and doesn’t give in to things very easily, causing for frequent punishments from the church while she was alive for being so "difficult" and "not listening to what God wanted."

Lorelei loves music but isn't a fan of gospels.
Both Constance and Lorelei are more fond of old music rather than newer music.
Their birthday is on May 26th
Lorelei hates violence against other people and wishes everything was fair.
Constance loved to watch TV and found enjoyment in old cartoons.
Lorelei likes sings nursery rhymes, they usually would get stuck in Constance's head.
Both Constance and Lorelei had journals. Constance’s was more of a vent book while Lorelei’s was a dream journal.
Constance and Lorelei both question the existence of God, but Constance says they don't have to worry about it anymore.
Their parents have no contact with the church or their children, they have no awareness of the state their daughters are in.
The story of the two girls is loosely based on a friend of the creator and one of their characters.
Constance liked to draw a lot and would make characters of her own.
