~ Author's Intro to Lucky Star. |
Laufey Jordy (also referred to as The Actor) is the main protagonist of the Creepypasta story "Lucky Star" in which the events of his life from the collapse of his first career to eventual stardom and his warranted downfall are all displayed in a series of events. The Actor is a vagabond murderer who strove to become the exact image of the Slasher he once played as on the big screens, essentially becoming a copycat of the sadistic clown and main antagonist of the movie "Lucky" who hunted down and tortured innocent people for sport. The Actor's obsession with becoming his on-screen persona escalated into eventual actual murders in which he himself described as finally "fully embracing his character." He is a demented, pompous individual that lives an unsavory life as a runaway after having been linked to the deaths of numerous people, including a key case that had been traced back to before he even became a famed actor.
Origin[]
Laufey Jade Jordy was originally a lab scientist fresh out of college who worked beside researchers looking to develop solutions that would assist people suffering from various medical ailments. Laufey was an exceptional worker and was able to lend a hand in many breakthrough projects. However, his avid mind began to get too "curious" for his own good and he begins to delve into experiments that would be deemed deadly to human health rather than helpful. Upon one project he was allowed to take part in against the will of his colleagues, Laufey creates an experiment that quite literally blows up in his face. The incident results in Laufey losing both his job and his right eye in consequence of the damage from the failed experiment. His wife Irina and her parents were greatly ashamed by Laufey's blunder, and in turn Irina's parents get to work, sowing seeds of toxicity between the two cause a separation.
While Laufey is in the midst of trying to find work elsewhere, he is plagued by the constant scorn of his in-laws and at times his own wife. Strangely enough, his next move is formulated by the constant nagging of his in-laws calling him a "fatuous clown". He strays from his familiarity within the field of science and pursues a profession within Drama. Laufey manages to find his way in this new occupation thanks to his qualified characteristics for the field and after relentless studying and fieldwork he begins to receive gigs as a entertainment clown. Over time he grows in popularity after being exposed to birthday parties, big events and the like. He coined his own stage appearance and became famous with his audience for the blue eye-patch he wore to hide his injury and his exuberant nature. However, his in-laws remained displeased with his new “profession” and in time sought to separate from him from their daughter as to not be further embarrassed by the fact their son-in-law was a literal clown.
After months, Irina was finally free, but Laufey, fueled by grief and betrayal did not allow her to leave. After a long session of trying to persuade her to stay, he caved in to his emotions and murdered her out of blinded impulse. The act had tipped off something in his brain; a morbid curiosity that had laid dormant for some time after the lab incident had awoken again and it only continued to grow from then on. Laufey took the time to carefully reconstruct the crime scene to his advantage and was able to fool investigators. He had gotten away with his crime. Months had passed and Laufey had quit his job, left in a state of depression and plaguing thoughts of his ex-wife. The same dark curiosity from before never left him however, and he’d yearned to seek it out again, somehow. One day he was contacted and offered a marvelous new opportunity, which he accepted. He then was propelled into the competitive world of acting and was welcomed as a full-fledged actor thanks to his experience as a popular entertainer. He was invited to play his same lively and joyful clown-persona on the big screen; this time with a dramatic dark twist in the horror industry as a vile, killer clown-version of himself. Despite the risk of taking a persona that was known as friendly and positive and turning it into something so monstrous, Laufey supported this change and he got to play the new face of his former clown-persona for the masses. After some time of criticism, the movie became well embraced by viewers and Laufey was applauded for his outstanding performance as his role.
With the new wave of stardom, Laufey went out of his way to incorporate his on-screen character into his every-day life, getting the same tattoos, hairstyle, and clothes as would be seen in his movie. He wanted people to always see him as they saw him on screen, the charismatic, boisterous scourge of society. Not forgetting his deep down urges, Laufey recreated his character’s weapon after being unable to attain the actual movie prop; a giant pair of sears. With this new weapon in tow, he began to test his long awaited curiosity ever since he had murdered his wife by manipulating and coaxing people into his reaches. The Actor then began to collect blood on his hands…except this time, it wasn’t a part of a movie...
Appearance[]
The Actor is a 6'1ft (185.4cm) tall male with shoulder-length sandy blonde hair and a blue eye. He is monophthalmic (has monocular vision) and is completely devoid of a right eye; the flesh where the eye once was is instead surgically seared and stitched together, leaving a visible vertical scar running from his eyebrow down to his cheek. He has a pale ivory skin-tone and displays three bodily tattoos; one on his nose, another beneath his left eye, and a major tattoo running from his neck down to his chest that imitates the skeletal cervical spine. The Actor's main outfit consists of a long off-shoulder medieval themed blue tunic with a white and yellow striped long sleeve undershirt. A single decorative puff rests on the right shoulder of the tunic. He wears pants that are single striped with the same white and yellow color theme as his undershirt. He wears dress shoes that are a slightly darker shade of blue. Around the waist of the tunic is ties a blue jester coat with yellow decorative puffs at the end of the tails. He can sometimes be seen wearing either a single or pair of yellow and white patterned gloves similar to what his character had worn occasionally in the movies.
Weapons[]
The Actor wields a singular handcrafted pair of giant shears. After being unable to attain the official shears that were used on set for his movie, The Actor went to work creating his own sharp, dangerous pair of scissors to use for himself as he pleased. The shears stand at about 125 centimeters in height when closed.
Personality[]
The Actor appears to be very sociable and extraordinarily venturesome. His ability to manipulate people and have things go his way only increased once he became a famed movie star. He displays the tendency to be arrogant and overly fond of the idea of himself, making him come across as very egocentric and discourteous. The Actor, as his name suggests, is very skilled at acting and playing a part. He has a face for every person he comes across, which makes his victims and allies alike easily susceptible to his words and or actions. He will however accept his inability to sway someone if they are steadfast enough to not be influenced by him.
