Don't worry, I'll stitch you back together when I'm done...maybe.

Stitchwork Stalker, born as Kalvin Alex Gainsboro, created by InsaneTwin97

He is a serial killer whose obsession for murdering is only just above his love for needlework. He began killing after stalking his girlfriend proved her to be unfaithful, his targets are females, but he prefers beautiful girls.

Origin[]

The only child of Alex and Linda, both having full-time jobs, and unable to afford a sitter on most nights, Kalvin was a lonely child growing up. The long hours alone contributed to repressed abandonment issues and a deeply introverted personality. Yet his parents cared for him a great deal and tried to help him through his time at home alone. In her attempts, his mother taught him how to use needles, thread, and sewing tools when he was 7. This hobby soothed the lonely child, who sometimes spent hours at home creating many works of art by needlepoint, which led to his father jokingly nicknaming Kalvin, "Odd Little Sewdler."

During his years in school, his teachers and most of the students were impressed by the artwork he presented to the class and made in his spare time. Yet, due to his introverted nature he didn't make any friends. Whenever he did talk was mainly because of negative remarks about his art. This worsened as he progressed through school, to the point where he was suspended for stabbing another student in the arm with a sewing needle because he said that his work was "so bad I wouldn't let my dog chew on it".

After entering college with a scholarship in art he met a woman named Jenny. She found his quiet demeanor very attractive and loved his artwork very much. He opened up to her a little and often used her beauty for inspiration in his artwork. They started dating and stayed in the relationship even after they both graduated. Three months after the two moved in with each other Kalvin noticed that Jenny was becoming more distant. Despite trying to open up to her more and showering her with handcrafted gifts she always seemed preoccupied. As she spent less time with him his fear of abandonment resurfaced and he decided to find out where she was going. Going out one night Kalvin followed Jenny to an apartment building a few blocks down the street. Climbing up the fire escape he watched in horror as Jenny walked up to a young man and kissed him on the lips.

In a fit of rage, he smashed through the window and stabbed the man through the neck with a number of large metal sewing needles. Turning towards Jenny he corned her next to the window saying in a raspy voice, "That hurts like a needle through my heart. Let me return the favor". As he lunged at her she pushed him away, sending through the window and down to the pavement below.

Jenny buried the body in her backyard in fear of being accused of murdering him. After burying Kalvin she took every piece of stitchwork and burned them next to his grave. A week later she stood in horror as Kalvin stood before her in her kitchen, covered in stitch marks, bruises, dirt, and dried blood. Before she could get away Kalvin killed her with a foot-long metal crochet hook, sharpened to a point.

After this Kalvin proceeded to dismember her corpse and sewing it back together multiple times. The rush he felt from the action compelled him to continue, and thus started his infamous love of "Murder by Needlepoint." Attacking and defacing any girl he comes across.

Appearance[]

Kalvin is a slim creature standing about 5' 10" tall to 6'. Multiple stitches and patches are sprawled across his skin. While his age is currently unknown, he looks like he was in his early twenties. His pale skin and clouded eyes reveal the possibility of an undead nature. While searching for targets he wears a large jacket and jeans. While stalking his prey he is never seen with a shirt and is always wearing shorts coated in dirt and dried blood, presumably the same he died in.

Personality[]

Being introverted before and after death, the only changes to his demeanor is the twisted and meshed together obsessions of both needlework and murder.

Kalvin's method first starts with finding a target. When finding a suitable target Kalvin stalks them to their home, breaks-in and leaves a small trinket behind, some have included, a small quilt patch depicting the impending murder, a pillowcase, or bedsheet fashioned from animal or human flesh, or a handkerchief, with a stitched signature of his catchphrase. The next night, or if the recipient immediately destroys the trinket, he will break-in again. Upon murdering the victim, he will spend the rest of the night dismembering the corpse and then sewing the pieces back onto them, continuing this process until the corpse is a grotesque "masterpiece" then finally stitching one of his aliases into the corpse.

Powers and Abilities[]

Being of undead nature, Kalvin possesses supernatural strength, durability, and pain tolerance. Possessing exceptional eyesight, hearing, and night vision allow him to find a target with relative ease, even in a crowded area. His stealth allows him to enter and exit most homes without detection, almost to the superhuman level. From several years of experience, Kalvin can create stunning, albeit terrifying works of art from any form of needlework, with any material and tool. In order to kill victims, Kalvin implores a number of modified needlework tools as weapons, such as sharpened crochet hooks, several needles of various sizes, some of which are poisoned, and a spool of steel thread.

Lastly, whenever Kalvin sustains any substantial damage, he will escape danger, nestle into a safe location, and stitch himself back together, either by reattaching and closing wounds or by finding replacements for what can't be salvaged.
