Sapane is the protagonist of the Creepypasta Sapane - El ángel de los sueños ("Sapane - The Angel of Dreams"). He was a man who after suffering an unknown accident was chosen to be the Guardian Angel of various children around the world.
Origin[]
Little is known of his life prior to the accident. It is known that he worked for the local church in Argentina and suffered from stigmata on his body. According to what he said, one day he simply "woke up on damp ground", instantly he noticed that his heart was no longer beating, he had no eyes but he could still see, his skin was cold like that of a dead body and that his face had been deformed. He was stunned that he couldn't understand why he was still "alive" despite that.
Frightened and embarrassed by his appearance, he decided to cover his face and escape to the city, where he began to live as a homeless man. After living on the streets for a long time, he became friends with a homeless family. One night, he began to notice the presence of shadows that terrified him, but that others seemed not to notice. He tried to fight one of those shadows that was trying to take the daughter of the family, but when he touched it the shadow disintegrated into blood and organs. But despite it being a terrifying thing for him, the family he was with didn't notice the blood or guts that covered his body. He also realized that they also didn't notice his scary appearance when he uncovered his face.
He went out into the street and began to run, believing that he had gone crazy. At that moment he realized that he was actually flying transformed into sand. Once he landed he began to hear the voice of someone who claimed to be God. God made him know that he was really an angel chosen by him because of his past actions. Despite not believing it at first, he over time began to believe and understand it. His mission on earth would be to protect the children from demons, both spiritual and physical, having the permission to kill them at any cost.
Appearance[]
He is an adult male between 20 and 30 years old. His appearance is very zombie-like, with pale and rotting skin; he has his abdomen open, with his organs visible, and some of his spine and rib bones are visible on his skin as a result of his fights against demons. He doesn't have eyes, but he sees anyway, and he also has no skin on his jaw.
Personality[]
At first he was a scared man and a bit of a coward. Over time he shows himself to be helpful, patient, compassionate and protective of children, although he is also somewhat sadistic and violent.
Powers and Abilities[]
At first, it is noticeable that Sapane is immortal, since he is capable of living without his heart beating and with injuries that would kill any normal human. Its greatest ability is to control the sand it is made of, doing various things with it such as transforming into sand to fly with the wind, touching anyone's forehead with that sand to instantly put them to sleep, or attacking demons and nightmares. Not much is known of his physical strength, though he doesn't appear to run or endure anything more than an average human.
Another characteristic ability of him, although he does not seem to have any control of this, is the manipulation of perception. Despite being a terrifying being, no one seems to notice this. In the same way, people are not able to notice the corpses or blood of the demons that he kills. As stated, he almost certainly doesn't handle this ability at ease.
