The SKE, an initialism for Soderzhat Kripto-Eskadru, translated to English as "cryptid containment squadron", is an intelligence agency tasked with capturing and weaponizing Creepypastas. Though a foil to C.A.P.S. , the SKE have also utilized the help of paranormal entities in order to push their own agendas.
History[]
The S.K.E. is a secret organization based in the former Soviet Union that specializes in discovering and containing paranormal entities for military purposes. The organization was formed in retaliation to C.A.P.S., a similar institution created by the United States after the discovery of The Russian Sleep Experiment, both groups competed in acquiring supernatural forces to weaponize them for use in the ongoing Cold War.
As paranormal activity continued to increase across the world, several nations requested aid from both C.A.P.S. and the S.K.E. Several states in East Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, and South America allied with the S.K.E. and allowed for its expansion into an international organization.
Although successful in several operations, including classified missions in Afghanistan, Central China, Ukraine, Siberia, North Korea, Vietnam, and Cuba, the institute suffered multiple setbacks due to worsening conditions within the USSR.
In 1991, with the collapse of the Soviet Union, the parent organization of the SKE; the KGB was dissolved and with it, the S.K.E.'s funding. Operatives were forbidden from leaving the organization due to their knowledge and many defected to the U.S. to join C.A.P.S., others remained desperately trying to hold the institute together.
It wasn't until Director K's exceptionable handling of the second Chernobyl incident in 1998, that the S.K.E. was finally given back its funding and power as an independent department under the Russian Federation. The S.K.E. now currently operates along side C.A.P.S. and has undergone several joint operations with them, most notably in the ongoing mission to stop The Resurrection and the Life Episcopal Church.
