Story[]
The woman never knew how she came to this world. She never knew if she was just a spectral being floating about in the abyss, or a shapeless blob that morphed into what she was now.
No matter what she thought, it didn’t change the fact that she woke up in an alleyway she didn’t know, wearing clothes that she never remembered putting on. Her arms and legs felt like jelly that couldn’t properly move, but she managed to get up and stumble her way out of the alley to the noisy and lit street.
When she stepped out, she was overwhelmed by the bright lights that lit up the night around her. The noises of cars, people and other things made her feel that her ears were going to burst soon. Her legs still weren’t ready to walk yet, which meant she was quite slow in walking. Looking around her, she saw that it was easy for her to get lost in such a busy place.
Yet, a feeling in her mind was telling her where to go, and she somehow knew how to get there.
Eventually, she got to a place that was apparently called ‘Wellington College’. As she got closer, a man sitting in a box like place yelled at her for staying out so late, calling her ‘Sarah’, but told her to quickly get in. Confused yet still drawn to the place, the woman entered and ventured into the place.
She spent the rest of the night exploring the place, but was chased off a few times by people wearing white shirts and black hats and pants. As she reflected on her runs later, her mind mysteriously yet quickly matched those people as security guards.
As she wandered around more, the sun began to rise, and more people began to come out to the open space. Many of them flashed her a smile and called her ‘Sarah’, like the security guard did earlier. She didn’t know what caused it, but she took on a more confident posture and returned their greetings, even somehow knowing their names.
Then she saw her.
Another woman who looked just like her, had the same posture she had, spoke with the same accent and tone she used.
The woman instantly felt the urge to run and hide.
She turned and briskly walked away from the lookalike and got to the second level of one of the dorm apartments. From there, she observed the lookalike walk off with her friends, laughing and talking with them. She then watched as a redheaded girl walked up to the lookalike and planted a kiss on her cheek.
The woman could tell that the lookalike was the actual Sarah, the girl people kept calling the woman. She seemed to be popular and even had a significant other. The two of them were the exact same, but the woman didn’t have what Sarah had.
But she wanted it. She wasn’t sure why she wanted what Sarah had, she just did, and the only way to get what she wanted, the voice of her mind said, was by getting rid of the person who had it. The woman knew that trying to rid of Sarah while in the campus was an easy way to get herself caught, so she had to get out to take her scheming somewhere else. Sneaking to the gate, the woman waited for the change of shift and ran out as the guards idly conversed with each other.
She ran out to the street again, ignoring the curious looks of others as she did so. She ran all the way, coming to an alleyway again.
This time, there was a homeless man sitting there, watching something on an old-looking television set. The woman walked closer, but the man did not react, his eyes still glued to the screen. Even when the woman was standing next to him, he still did not react. The woman pushed him over, and he fell to the side, still wrapped in a trance.
The woman looked at the screen and saw a display of black and white static. Looking down at the man, still locked in a trance, the woman realised that she may have found a tool. With this, others wouldn’t question why ‘Sarah’ acted differently than usual.
Soon, it had passed weeks since her first trip to Wellington College, but the woman now felt ready to exact her plan.
Sneaking back in, she met with one of Sarah’s friends, Connor, and lured him out of campus under the pretext of viewing pornographic tapes. Initially, Connor agreed, but began getting uneasy when the woman tried to bring him into the alleyway. Taking his momentary distraction as a chance to strike, the woman quickly gagged and bound him up before forcing him to watch her ‘improvised’ version of the old television set.
Connor struggled at first, but eventually got induced into the same trance as the homeless man did earlier. Smiling at her apparent success, the woman decided to take a risk and brought Connor back to the college. Instead of going back out, the woman stayed in the school and decided to wait to see the results.
To her delight, she found that Connor had indeed forgotten who Sarah was. So, over the next few days, the woman lured some of Sarah’s other friends out to the alley while keeping passers-by from entering it.
However, she soon hit a problem when a certain friend of Sarah’s refused to succumb to the static like the others. He continued to resist, and soon he began screaming for help when his gag fell off. In a panic, the woman quickly resorted to using a nearby broken beer bottle to stab the young man to death. As his breathing stopped and his limbs stilled, the woman realised what she had done. Forcing herself to calm down, she robbed the man’s corpse of his wallet. She quickly went to a store and bought a knife before returning to the man’s corpse. From there, she stripped him naked and began brutally carving his face and body in order to make him unrecognisable. Halfway through, she got an idea and quickly cleaned up the man’s blood, wrapped him in a bag and left him at the entrance of the college under the cover of the night.
Despite the shadows of the night providing her cover, a security guard caught the man’s corpse on a camera and quickly phoned the police. Seeing how drastic the situation had become, the woman fled to the alley to hide for the next few days.
However, she couldn’t restrain herself for long an returned to the campus, where she quickly discovered that Sarah had been taken away by the police for interrogation. Seeing her opportunity, the woman went to Sarah’s dorm room. From there, she somehow picked the lock to the dorm room and stole some items from the room, such as a camera. Afterwards, she quickly snuck out of the campus again, knowing when she would strike again.
The woman began to pass by the college every day, observing the one person who came back.
She saw that Sarah was released from the station, but also saw that she was constantly trailed by different adults who wore tags. A new plan fell into her head.
One night, she snuck into the college again but broke into the room of the redheaded girl she saw earlier. In there, she assaulted and incapacitated the girl’s roommate and kidnapped the girl. She quickly brought her back to the alley and bound her in front of the television. Using the camera she stole, she snapped a few pictures of the girl before quickly running back to the college to plant the camera on one of the benches and her knife in one of the bushes nearby before making a run for it again.
The woman’s plan worked, as Sarah got arrested under the charges of assault and kidnapping. Furthermore, the person that the woman had injured confirmed that Sarah was the one who broke into her dorm room, beat her up and kidnapped her roomate. The police also found the camera that contained the photos of Sarah’s captive lover, along with the bloodstained knife in the bushes.
Still, the woman wasn’t satisfied with Sarah’s incarceration, she would only be truly happy when Sarah was gone forever.
Keeping her captive well-fed for the next few days, the woman lurked around the police station, waiting for a good opportunity to strike. Eventually, she found an officer who looked similar to her, and soon killed her after tracking her down to her house. Donning her uniform, she then made her way to the station.
Once she got in, she began letting the prisoners out of their cells, starting a riot. In the middle of the pandemonium, she caught Sarah and knocked her unconscious, planning to bring her to the alleyway.
As Sarah woke up and realised where she was, the woman revealed herself, and Sarah screamed in horror.
Combat[]
Weapons:
- Old-fashioned Television Set
- Rag
- Rope
- Kitchen Knife
- Broken Beer Bottle (Only once)
Method of Attack:
- Brainwashing her victims to forget the real Sarah
- Stabbing or slashing them to death
Behaviour[]
Parodist's personality is similar to that of Sarah's, meaning that she can be cheerful and friendly when blending in with other humans. Like other doppelgängers, her instinctive goal is to kill Sarah and take her place on earth. Unlike other doppelgängers, she seems to be much more psychopathic and cunning than the typical doppelgänger. Furthermore, although she is horrified at her first murder, she seems to completely shed all sympathy and empathy for others and becomes more sadistic, as she soon begins to kill more freely and doesn't care as to who her victims are. Her sadism is further shown later on when she purposely keeps Sarah's lover alive to later either brainwash or kill her in front of Sarah before killing Sarah herself.
It is implied she has a paranoid side as well, as her main reason for brainwashing or killing Sarah's close friends is in case she exhibits different behaviour from the real Sarah's normal behaviour.
Appearance[]
Parodist has the same appearance as Sarah, which means that she has short inky black hair, blue eyes and a slender body. However, her face has several cuts and bruises on it, likely due to her victims fighting back. She often uses makeup to hide the cuts and bruises.
Theme Song[]
Notable Quotes[]
- "And like you Sarah, I HATE loose ends." - Parodist revealing the reason why she did what she did to Sarah and her friends
- "Imagine waking up one day and finding out that your whole life is just a copy of another person's, how would you react?" - Parodist after being called a psychopath
- "I will do whatever I want with her before I get to you. The last memory you'll have in this world is Cleo forgetting you, or dying. The two of you can die together in that case." - Her revealing her intentions with Sarah and her lover, showing her sadism
Trivia[]
- She, like the original Sarah, is a lesbian
- Her creator is I'llBeYourFriend
- Parodist originally only killed those she couldn't brainwash, but began doing it more freely
- She brainwashes the people close to Sarah in order to make them forget the original Sarah
- She does this in case she showcases behaviour that the original Sarah did not
- However, it may not be necessary since she is somewhat similar Sarah, and would likely have the same behaviour and mannerisms Sarah had in everyday life. So her actions could be due to her paranoia acting up
- She does this in case she showcases behaviour that the original Sarah did not
- Her next goal after killing Sarah is to brainwash the police to forget about the original Sarah before eventually brainwashing everyone else in the city to forget about the murders she had done
- It is unknown whether Sarah managed to escape Parodist, or if Parodist killed her and Cleo
- Although it is unknown whether doppelgängers have the same physical attributes as normal humans, Parodist seems to be far more intelligent than a normal human, as she is able to hide away in her alley without getting discovered and is able to reprogram an old television set. Lastly, she is able to sneak in and out of Wellington College and a police station without any detection
- She is also shown to be slightly stronger and more durable than typical people, as she manages to restrain some of Sarah's more well-built friends and gets up from hits without much problem, although she often suffers from the effects of heavy hits afterwards
- Her name was given to her by Sarah while the latter and her lover were being held captive by her
- With the amount of time she was able to hide in the alleyway without detection, it can be assumed she hid out in one of the less populated areas of the city
