"Sonic the Hedgehog does not exist. Sonic the Hedgehog does not exist. █████ does not exist. Stop asking SEGA."
~ Non-Existent’s first words, 1994.
"PLEASE NOTE: You are alone."
~ Encounter 2009

Non-Existent, also known simply as THE OMEN in reports, is a digital paranormal entity that has an obsession with erasing media from humanity’s memory, as well as most physical pieces of the media. This specific version is the older version of the current character.

Origin[]

Non-Existent was simply created out of nothingness at an unknown date, and activated in 1994.

Appearance[]

Non-Existent appears in a variety of forms. It is actually only the head, along with sharp tentacles protruding from its “neck stump.” It often appears as its usual white head with a black face, or a floating white face in the darkness.

However, it is usually piloting the “corpse” of a protagonist from an erased franchise, typically using Sonic the Hedgehog’s body, as it was the first franchise it erased. Its method of movement is replacing the character’s head, replacing it for its own, along with the body undergoing slight modifications. (Example: The chest fur of the Sonic form becomes more pointed and almost heart shaped.)

Non-Existent is always monochromatic and shadowed..

Personality[]

It’s motives for erasing humans and franchise is unknown, it may be simply on sheer instinct or amusement. Its personality is sadistic, almost taunting when interacting with a human. Non-Existent seems to act automatically, erasing a franchise or media whenever it gets popular enough.

Powers and Abilities[]

Non-Existent can be described as a violent Mandela effect.

Non-Existent’s main ability is to “erase” franchises from the face of the earth. When this occurs, the general memories of the franchise is completely erased from any human on Earth.

However, this ability is flawed. Mere shreds of information may linger in the heads of some, and things such as tapes and game cartidges may still lay around. If any of these “corrupted media sources” are played, a strain of Non-Existent will automatically appear and attack the viewer. When this occurs, the person themselves will be wiped from history, and records will suddenly disappear as long as they contain direct information about the person. Nobody will ever remember the person.

Non-Existent can hide in deleted internet links of the media (for example, Youtube links or Flash games containing the erased franchise.), which are usually advertised as “nostalgia”, thus acting as a trap for anyone who stumbles across them.

Non-Existent may also use screens to attempt to goad nearby people into consuming the media, promising to return their missing family or some form of other bribe.

Forms[]

THE OMEN[]

The Omen is a rare form to be seen, and the closest thing to warning a person who may stumble over erased media. The Omen appears as its face, but in white instead of black. The Omen will usually flicker on the screen mere moments after a person enters a “erased” link or game. In-universe, the phrase “BEWARE THE OMEN.” is commonly used to warn viewers.

It also takes this form when “erasing” a franchise, using its tentacles to decapitate a franchise's protagonist. It is unknown if this process is for show, or Non-Existent actually has to “kill” the main character to erase its franchise.

PARASITE[]

Parasite is the usual form Non-Existent is seen in. Non-Existent’s head is usually attached to a monochromatic and warped body of a franchise’s protagonist (varies depending on the game opened.)

OVERDRIVEN[]

Overdriven is a hypothetical form, never actually seen. Overdriven is when Non-Existent hypothetically exerts too much effort, causing the host to become unstable. The limbs extend and turn into dead pixels, along with Non-Existent’s face stretching.

Facts[]

  • Non-Existent was created by eenat.
    • Not only does eenat both know about the page,[1] but this is also considered the OFFICIAL page.[2]
  • Non-Existent’s original concept was as a take on Sonic.exe[3], however this was immediately scrapped and made into a proper entity.[4]
    • He has no relation to Sonic.exe, he isn't a spin-off creepypasta.
  • The current official list of franchises/ media Non-Existent canonically has erased is as follows:
  • Non-Existent prefers to communicate through text, but can speak. Its words are a jumbled mix of different human voices, implying it is simply mimicking human voices it has heard before.
    • Non-Existent has no canon voice, or VA. It’s all for interpretation, this was done completely purposefully, although eenat prefers the glitchy bitcrushed ones.[5]
  • While it usually possesses the protagonist of a franchise, its presence causes other characters in the media to be warped.
    • This can be seen in Tails.
