Kane Thurmanson was born horribly deformed. His mother died in a car wreck when he was 3 years old, leaving his father to take care of him. He was home schooled for his own safety. His father wouldn't let him outside when anyone was around. This led to Kane having terrible social skills. When Kane was 7, his father fell into a depression and started to drink. When Kane was 8, his dad left the burner on in the kitchen during an overnight heat wave, causing the house to catch on fire. When the fire department got to the house, Holland was found dead. Kane however, was still alive. Half of his body was severely burned. After a year in the hospital recovering, Kane was sent to live with his uncle and aunt. The authorities thought it would give Kane a fresh new start. What they didn't know, however, was that they were part of a cult called the Cult of Burden. They showed Kane to the whole group and had something in mind. They waited until Kane was a full grown man. At the age of 18, Kane was exactly 7'2" and 300 pounds. The cult planed to turn Kane into their ultimate weapon. Kane was taken to a room deep underground. Kane wasn't skeptical about what was about to happen. Kane entered the room filled with people in hooded robes. He towered over all of them. One of them approached Kane.
"Here..."
He handed Kane a full headed mask made of metal. Then Kane walked through the crowed. There, was a circle of red paint. Kane was ordered to step in the circle. He did as he was told. Once he was in the circle, the people started whispering. One of them ordered Kane to put the mask on. He did. Once the mask was on, Kane felt different. Like his inner demon was surfacing. The ritual had begun. After what seemed like hours, the people stopped whispering, and everything was silent. Kane was then approached by the leader. He was wearing a red robe unlike the others that wore black. Kane looked down at him. The man then spoke.
"You are ready"
He held out his hand to Kane. This would make Kane loyal to him for as long as he lived. Kane reached his hand out. The man expected Kane to take his hand. He did. However, no one expected what happened next. Kane, with his other hand, grabbed the man by the throat. The man gasped as Kane squeezed the breath out of him. The others rushed to stop Kane, but they were too late. Kane had choked the life out of their leader. They stopped dead in their track as Kane released his hold and watched as their leader's lifeless body fell to the floor. Kane then turned to them. Half of the group tried to leave the room, but one of them had locked the door before the ritual. The other half tried to subdue Kane. It was to no avail. Kane started killing all of the cult members. Crushing their heads, choking them out and breaking their limbs. Once They were all dead. Kane casually opened the door and walked out of the room without looking back.
Appearance[]
Kane wears the iron mask given to him by the cult to hide his deformed and half burned face. He is 7'2" and 350 pounds and has an intimidating build.
Powers[]
Kane is super-humanly strong and durable with a healing factor and super senses given to him by the cult ritual.
