“ | I am the definition of sub-human. Half man and half machine, with freakish eyes to boot, thank God I'm not out in human society, I'd rather die than be put on display in a freak show. While my differences are curses in one sense, I see them as assets in terms of doing what I do best, making my targets dead as doornails. | „ |
Ginny "Jinn" Andreyyvich or "The Mage", is a cybernetic hitwoman who targets people deemed "unworthy of living" under the direction of "The Dark Man". She is capable of various feats of psychic powers, and uses various methods to eliminate her victims.
Jinn wears a loose black turtleneck sweater with a metal "ribcage" underneath. Instead of normal human legs and hands, she has cybernetic ones due to an explosion, and are adapted to move as well as normal body parts. She also wears a black cloak to move undetected in the dark. Jinn is somewhat disheveled in her appearance, and always looks fatigued. She wields a moderately sized sword that she calls "Temnota", which is Russian for "darkness".
Story[]
Born to Russian immigrants, Ginny Andreyyvich, or just Jinn, had a relatively uneventful childhood, and was very close to her father and mother. She lived in a primarily Russian district of Chicago shortly after the Cold War, when communist witch hunts were underway. When she was 13, police came to their place of residence and took her parents into custody, siting "communist ties" with former members of the KGB, even though the police had no evidence to back up their claim.
Jinn was forced to live with a neighbor for the next three years, and go to a high school near by. Jinn was anti social, and had a hard time making friends, but soon found one in a boy named Sigmund, or Sig for short. They became inseparable, and Jinn felt that she had at last found someone to provide emotional support in place of her parents. One day - while she was walking home from school - she was stopped by a police officer, and asked if she was related to the Andreyyvich's. Remembering what had happened to her parents, Jinn quickly denied, and turned to leave. Out of nowhere, the policeman tackled her and reached for his tazer, but Jinn was able to knock it out of his hand. During their struggle, Jinn was able to take his gun and shoot him in the head, killing him instantly. Petrified at what she had done, she quickly cleaned up the blood from the scene and dumped his body into the sewer system after wiping off fingerprints. She quickly went home, and never gave anything away to the people around her. She soon became paranoid and anxiety ridden, frightened of herself and frightened of the prospect of being charged with murder.
A few months after this incident, Jinn felt a sort of psychic calling, a sort of voice in her head to go to a certain restaurant in town, promising that something is waiting for her. Soon after, Sig invited her for a friend date at the same restaurant. She accepted, delighting at spending time with her close friend. While they were having a good time, a fire started in the kitchen. Before anyone could get out, the fire caught a gas leak, and the whole restaurant exploded. The explosion killed everyone but Jinn, who blacked out after being thrown from the flames soon after.
She regained consciousness in a liquid filled tube, seemingly in a dark medical facility. She had an oxygen mask, and when she looked down, the first thing that she noticed was that her hands and her entire lower half of her body, including her legs, were gone. Before she could fully comprehend this however, a dark figure entered the room.
He introduced himself as "The Dark Man", and explained that he was searching for an apprentice for a very long time, and that she was the one. He sent out a psychic call hoping that she will answer and go to the restaurant as he had wanted, though he denied causing it to explode. He was the one who pulled her out of the rubble, barely alive, gave her new black eyes ("to see better in the dark"), and put her in this life support tube. Jinn told him to get out as she was useless in this state, and didn't want any part in his plans, and she was going to probably die soon enough. He then told her that she would walk and move, saying "You will walk, you will fight, and you will conquer". She reluctantly agreed to obtaining cybernetics.
For the next 7 years, The Dark Man trained Jinn in the art of sword fighting, psychic manipulation, and how to use her cybernetics. He told her about the horrors of humanity, and how they were mindless creatures who constantly fought each other without any compassion, and she soon grew to have a hatred for humanity in general. Soon, he was giving her tasks, mostly murdering people who were deemed "unworthy" to him. Jinn did most of these without question, killing her victims by smashing them against objects, or running them through with a sword that the Dark Man gave to her. However, she sometimes went on her own killing sprees, mostly targeting pedophiles, sex offenders, and mostly convicted felons. The Dark Man also taught her how to master the art of "configuration", meaning warping parts of the body supernaturally to unnatural proportions. Her favorite is to elongate her mouth to the sides of her temples, revealing a sharp toothed Cheshire cat-like smile. She uses this to terrify her victims into insanity before eventually eliminating them.
Her first confrontation with other Creepypastas came when she had to travel through a batch of woods to the residence of her next target, the same batch of woods that Slenderman and his proxies resided. The Dark Man had told Jinn to beware of "the man with no face", saying that he was an extremely dangerous entity. When she arrived at the residence of her target, she was confronted by a girl with red and black hair, known as Killing Kate. They had a bit of a brawl, but Jinn was eventually able to use her legs to her advantage and kick Kate aside, and was able to successfully kill her target and vanish into the night. Ever since this confrontation, Killing Kate hates Jinn, and wants to "take her shots" at her to get even. Since this incident, Jinn has had minor encounters with other Creepypastas during missions to kill the same person, most notably Clockwork and Eyeless Jack. In every incident, she was able to use her cybernetics or her psychic abilities to kick them out of her way, and vanishes. She never has had a violent confrontation since Killing Kate. Jinn herself despises the Creepypastas, calling them "barbaric" and inferior, and will attempt to kick their asses during their short confrontations.
Personality[]
Jinn hasn't changed much in terms of personality when she underwent her transformation into a serial killer, mostly calm, laid back, and reserved. She is very serious and no nonsense, and is always focused on getting the job done. The only company she really enjoys is Hazthur, her apprentice, though interaction with him is very rare.
Jinn has OCD, and is always lubricating her cybernetic legs, so that they won't creak and give away her position. She gets no pleasure out of killing, and treats it as a normal everyday activity rather than a fun past-time. She likes reading about human nature, such as politics, usually to fuel her anger toward them. A believer in nihilism, she usually can be found reading Neitzsche's work, and believes that life is meaningless and every single action that she does means nothing. As a result, Jinn feels that she lives a dull and mostly monotonous life, and the highest she really feels is slight contentment.
