| “ | Listen, the only reason I'm going out of my way to tell any of you this is because the story "Jane the Killer" is starting to piss me off. My real name is Jane Arkensaw, a.k.a. "Jane the Killer" and this is how I met Jeff, the reason I look the way I do, and why I want to kill him. | „ |
| ~ Jane Arkensaw's introduction. |
| “ | Don't go to sleep, you won't wake up. | „ |
| ~ Jane the Killer's most famous quote. |
Jane Elizabeth Arkensaw, currently known as Jane Everlasting or Jane the Killer, is a vigilante who constantly tries to hunt down her archenemy Jeff the Killer for murdering her family. She is the protagonist in The Jane The Killer Story, Jane The Killer: The Real Story Part 2, and Shattered Souls, while Jeff the Killer is the antagonist for two of her origin stories.
Origin
Before Jeff became insane she lived across the street from him and from the moment she saw Jeff attack Randy, Troy, and Keith she thought he was disturbed in some way and his sadistic smile and his brother Liu's reaction didn't help change that. She did feel more sympathy for him after Liu took the blame for the attack leaving Jeff heartbroken and distraught, she felt awful for him and ashamed at herself for assuming he was a monster, she responded to this by leaving him a note telling him he had a friend.
Once Randy, Troy, and Keith crashed the birthday party and burned Jeff alive, Jane saw the whole thing from her bedroom window and ran in with a fire extinguisher in an attempt to save him. Jeff's parents invited her and her parents over for dinner as a reward for her heroic actions.
When the night came however she looked outside the window and saw Jeff get out of the car and his appearance terrified her to the point of making her faint. She woke up hours later, home alone and saw Jeff at his living room window tapping a knife repeatedly on it, she decided to go out and defend herself and Jeff's appearance once again terrified her to the point of fainting.
She woke up in Jeff's dining room tied to a chair with a gag in her mouth and saw all of her friends and family along with Jeff's family all dead with smiles carved into their faces.
Jeff mocked her while she cried over this saying that he'll make her look "beautiful" too, he then carved a smile into her face before cutting the gag out, he then burnt her alive after he poured bleach and alcohol all over her. She woke up in the hospital disfigured and scarred and swore revenge on Jeff.
He left her gifts at the hospital which included a dress, flowers, letter, white with black features mask, and her knife. She wore the clothes reluctantly and held her knife in hand, she visited her parent's grave and decided from that point on she would become Jane Everlasting, swearing revenge on Jeff the Killer.
Appearance
Before her disfigurement Jane had light skin, brown hair as well as green eyes. Jane would note that she lacked any interesting physical traits, often describing herself as being a "plain" girl. After being burned alive, her skin turned brown, scorched and leathery, and most of her hair had completely burnt off.
Now, her appearance consists of a white mask with painted on black lips and black mesh covering the eyes. She also wears a long black dress and shoes, as well as a long curly jet black wig, and is mainly seen with a kitchen knife as a weapon (all "gifts" from Jeff, as a twisted "apology" for not properly making her "beautiful like him").
Personality
Before becoming who she is now, Jane was a sweet girl who put the value of others before herself, she despised Randy and his stooges, as she called them, because they were cowards who bullied and attacked those that were weaker than they.
She loved her family and friends even though they would occasionally get on her nerves. She was terrified of Jeff after his transformation, but when he essentially ruined her life she became withdrawn and possibly developed PTSD, as well seeing everything in gray which she assumes is the price to pay for losing her innocence.
She has a large vendetta against Jeff and wants to murder him for herself. She says that his scream is like music to hear, and she will make him scream like he did when he was set on fire that day at the birthday party claiming that nothing would bring her more joy than killing him.
