"On July 17th, a family of 3 was found in a clearing of one of Connecticut's national parks. These were the bodies of Xander Elton (46) and Ji Elton (44). A heart was also found at the scene, which was believed to be Riley Elton's (17), the daughter of the married couple. It was believed by police enforcers that a maniac living out in the woods that had escaped from the asylum had taken their lives."
However, none of this was true. There was no maniac that killed them. It was their own daughter.
Riley first started to see hallucinations of Slenderman when she was 7 years old. by that time she was still in the United Kingdom living her life with her 2 parents, Xander and Ji. She didn't have any siblings, but she had a lot of friends from her primary school. Riley, unlike other victims, mainly saw hallucinations of the operator in her nightmares and often had a lot of vivid dreams that felt a little too real to her. These dreams started to make her mental health decline, as she was now constantly on edge, expecting something to jump out at her with every turn of a hallway, or with every opening of a door. After all, she was still a kid.
Eventually the nightmares stopped, and she was left at peace. for now.
Ten years have now passed, and Riley is now 17 years old, now living in Connecticut with her parents. Due to her study schedule being all over the place, she has decided to start pulling all-nighters to get on top of her studies at school. One night, she notices her parents leave the house almost in a daze, hop into their car, and drive somewhere, not returning until 6 in the morning. Riley, naturally confused, asked where they were heading to last night. Her parents don't give her a response, so she decides to dig deeper. It turns out that her parents became sleeper proxies unknowingly, and completed tasks for him in their sleep. However at some point, Riley digs a little too deep, and she now knows too much. It's clear that she's a threat, and threats have to go. Her parents are unknowingly given the task of ending her life, and they chase her out into the forest against their will. Riley, in a desperate attempt to keep herself alive, defends herself, and ultimately ends up killing her parents by stabbing them in the chest to prevent them from grabbing her. Feeling disgusted and guilty, she decides to take one last resort, plunging the knife she killed her family with into her heart. That way she wouldn't have to live with the guilt and responsibility of being the girl who killed her parents.
However, this isn't where it ends for Riley, as somehow, she manages to awaken from death. she also felt something on her hand. Now, in this part of the story, most people would expect the thing on her hand to be a proxy mark, but this isn't the case at all. Instead, there's an eye with a bright pink pupil. Riley stares at it for a moment, and then the daunting truth starts to get to her. She's dead, but she's alive still. And she definitely wasn't a ghost either.
Deciding to explore the forest where she had died, she comes across a man on the phone. The longer she stares, the more an urge tugs at her to lunge at the man. Her stomach seemed to scream at her for one thing and one thing only- his heart. Listening to her desires she grabs the man by the neck and kills him, before eating his heart whole. She felt better after that, and the hunger went away. However, every few days it would return and she would have to fulfill it once more.
She also discovers other things about herself, such as one time where she woke up as a completely different person, and another time when she managed to pierce someone's lung using her bare hands.
Now Riley roams the forest, coming across survivor groups, appearing as a vulnerable teenager. And when they aren't looking she kills a member of that group off once in a while, leaving hints behind that pin the blame on other members. She watches as the members' relationships with each other start to crumble, until only one is left. The fate of that person is then in her hands, however, it's rare that she will consider letting them live to see another day.
Personality[]
Hazard is a snake. A liar, a fraud. You can never know what she actually is, you can never tell what her true intentions for you are. She's that good at using other people's faces as a facade, that it's almost impossible for you to tell which mask of hers is real. She could be one of your friends, and you wouldn't know, until she accidentally slips up.
However, when she isn't being a deceptive little snake, she is actually quite sassy, snarky and sarcastic, usually quipping at every person she sees. She isn't necessarily a nasty person towards people she knows, she just has little idea on what empathy is anymore. The undead often feels angrier when she hasn't eaten for a long time, so she's usually in a much better mood when she's had a human heart to eat.
She can be nice if she wants to, but that's only really towards those who she really cares about. And honestly? That's going to take a long time to do, because she isn't exactly all that calm. She's loud and enthusiastic, and also very stubborn.
Appearance[]
Hazard is a 5'4 female, with pale skin and short black hair in the style of a wolf cut. Her eyes are often a stormy grey, but when attacking they can turn pink. This is because the entity that attached to her gave her a few tweaks to her body in order for it to be with her, and the eye-glowing is merely a side effect. She often wears blue, white and black when in disguise, along with a navy blue cap. When she's not hunting her victims, she often wears dark grey baggy jeans with pockets, with a pink and white shirt and a black jacket. She also seems to carry a flashlight, an iPod and a bag of candy.
Though, she doesn't always take this form. In fact, she can take the form of anyone she sees. Due to being an anomalous un-dead, she has the ability to shape-shift into anyone she wants to. This includes people who exist, and people who do not. However, sometimes you can see if something is off about the form she has taken, such as the eyes don't look human, or perhaps there's an extra facial feature that shouldn't be there.
