Deadplants is the main antagonist in the Creepypasta story with the same name "Deadplants.exe",

Appearance

Deadplants appears as a black and white version of Peashooter, with black lifeless eyes and are round rather than sharp edged like the original.

Origins

"deadplants.exe" was a Creepypasta created by a user named Mooplerish, and was first added to the Creepypasta Wiki In 2012, but 8 November 2013 the story was removed for containing cliché, was moved to the Trollpasta Wiki due to similar situations from other Creepypastas that ended up also being moved, being bad creepypsta takes, principally for people thinking it's cliché or the matter that removed the "red realistic eyes" or mentions of "Creepypasta story" on it.[1] Despite that, it became pretty famous, but not well known on the community due to the content that presents it.

However, it became famous later with the release of the well known remake/remaster of the history, that being "deadplants.mp4" by YouTuber VibingLeaf. The YouTuber in question is known to create and/or remaking Creepypastas and horror stories, either originals or based on medias, such as "mouse.avi Re-Take" and "Red Mist Re-Take". However, on January 8, 2023, he released the remake/re-take version of deadplants, which revived and changed most details of the story to make it different. Changing from only a horror-like hacked game to a sad story about a deceased mother reaching her child for one last meeting inside of a hacked Plants Vs. Zombies copy.

Different from other videos, "deadplants.mp4" became the most viewed video on the channel, surpassing the "Red Mist Re-Take" video since then, with people saying that it is the best take of a Creepypasta.As of February 20, 2023, the video gained a total of 1.4 million views.

• It still is unknown when this story was first originally published, the earliest possible known date being 20 August 2012.
• On the implications, the father's name shown on the remake version can be assumed to being "Mathieu", due to the mother questioning for Mathieu, but later changing to "Dinana".
• The mother, affirming that Mathieu left her family for "a stupid war", it implies that some war happened that made him leave to battle in said war. It's unknown what war is presented in the story.
  • The implications of the hacked version sent from a Russian implies that a war happened in Russia. The mother also mentions saying "you've grown so much, ever since I saw you 7 years ago.", with no answers to what happened 7 years ago and why 7 years ago.
