The year was 2001.
A kid named Micheal had finished his summer coding class.
He tried out his skills by creating a ROM Hack of Kirby’s Adventure, which he sold on eBay. It gained massive traction on the internet. One day, he received an email from Nintendo. It said to stop selling copies of his ROM Hack, or else they would sue him. Micheal was furious, but he didn’t want to lose his hard-earned money. So he ceased production of his game. The internet had lost one of their favourite games, but one day an anonymous user took matters into their own hands and made a rip-off of Micheal’s game. The internet had no idea it was a rip-off, and they loved it. One day the same user made a post saying that Nintendo invited them to work there because of his game.

Furious.
He was so annoyed that he wrote an angry post to the user, saying he ripped off Micheal’s game and that he was lucky he got invited to Nintendo. The whole internet got mad at Micheal for making such a post. So he decided to make sentient goop using his Science Kit that he would send to the user and take control over him, post that the production of the game would cease, and throw away his computer so he couldn’t do anything. When the package arrived, the user just threw it away, thinking it was just a fan version of “his” game. Micheal didn’t see a post from the user, so his plan failed. A week after Micheal sent the package, he heard a knock on the door, and he opened it. It was the goop. It transformed into Kirby itself, and pulled put a knife. It said “FATHER. YOU HAVE CREATED ME TO BE USED AS A WAY TO TAKE SOMETHING DOWN THAT YOU HATE. I CANNOT FORGIVE YOU, PREPARE TO DIE.” Micheal was murdered. News came of the incident, and Micheal’s parents were devastated. The goop became the new user of Micheal’s account. And now the creator of the game that sent the internet was dead, and so the goop became a fugitive. It was arrested, only now its one goal is to escape prison and manage to take control over those who use lesser beings as toys to help accomplish their goals.
