This happened to me when I was 15 years old.

It was a cold autumn evening of the year 2019 I was out with my brother Ryan pissing around at ten in the night. We were both riding our bikes around this sort of forest track area ,which was a shortcut to our home. We were riding home through that forest as it was dark already and we wanted to get home before the late hours. The area we live in has some dodgy people and we don’t intend to stick around all night as we both have our suspicions as to what might happen. We had been riding in this forest for about an hour now and we were both confused as it normally takes around ten minutes to get home.

We looked around to see if we noticed that we went the wrong way, but we had completely no idea where we were. My brother tried his phone but there was no signal. I tried my phone and I had no service too. We were panicking now because we had no idea where we were and we couldn’t call for help. I suggested that we take a path that was to the left of us as we needed to get out of there as quickly as possible. We took off in that direction which led to a long, straight path that stretched deeper into the forest. We turned on our bike lights to let us see ahead of the darkness that layer before us. I’d say about 15 minutes into this long path I heard my brother say stop. We both slammed on our brakes and I turned my head to his direction to see what he was talking about.

There, half hidden in the bushes, was a scruffy purple van. It looked very sketchy so we carried on our journey going deeper into the forest. When we were riding close to the end of the path,  strong beams of light emitted from behind us. We spun around and shat ourselves, it was the purple van. We peddled as fast as we could trying to lose the van. It gained to our speed making it parallel with our bikes. The side door swung open revealing a figure dressed in all black and was wearing a gruesomely looking clown mask.

The mask was very intimidating and terrifying. He pulled out a cleaver from behind his back and let out a menacing laugh. He swung for us but, we dodged by cutting off to a side path that was to the left of us. The van was gone, we lost it. We realised that we were on the right path now and continued as fast as we could all the way home. When we arrived we told our parents. They reported that clown and the purple van to the police. That was the first time me and Ryan saw that van and hopefully the last.
