Cheshire Kiane - more commonly known as Cheshire - is the second leader of El Familia Mariposa, a gang built by her partner Akido. She is a young female teen who enjoys acting like the famous character from Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland who goes by the same name.
Backstory[]
Cheshire was a normal girl living with her parents. She was home-schooled most her life but was allowed to start public school when she turned 13, starting ninth grade. When she joined, Akido was the first person to approach her with enthusiasm. The two kids were quick to hit it off and became the best of friends. She enjoyed school but in eleventh grade, when Akido disappeared to join Slender Man, she lost interest in learning and her grades dropped significantly. Teachers spread rumors about what could've happened, calling the brunette a ton of insults. Hearing the disrespectful words angered Cheshire to the point where she snapped and beat up the teachers. She was suspended for a month. She was charged with assault but her father, being a lawyer, stood up for her and the charges were dropped.
After her suspension, Cheshire returned to school with a different attitude. She revealed that she had seen a therapist during the month to help her cope with her best friend's disappearance. Cheshire had developed a passion for teasing and taunting, going as far as to bully the teachers that charged her. It went on to the point where one had even killed himself. Finally having enough, Cheshire built a bunch of bombs and subtly planted them around the school. She skipped school one day and detonated them, killing the majority of the students and all the teachers. Only a few survived, including Cassiopeia Drakos. Cassiopeia immediately suspected her and went to question Cheshire. When Cheshire expressed her belief that Akido wasn't dead, Cassi revealed that she felt the same and the two girls agreed to work together. They left home, determined to find Akido. The two teens kept running until they arrived in Toronto, where they met Ellen Braison and Taylor James in a shelter for homeless people. They lived there for a few years, still hunting for their missing friend. When Samuel and Caleb Garcia were brought in to the shelter, she was surprised to hear that Caleb was at the school at the time of the explosion.
They were quickly welcomed by Cheshire, who explained the situation. Surprised, the two brothers agreed to lend their assistance in finding her. A couple years after the boys joined, Ches, Cassi, Samuel and Caleb were shocked by a new person who entered the shelter. It was Akido and her little brother, Ryukko. Hearing what happened, Cheshire was impressed by Akido's strength and bravery. Unbeknownst to her, she had begun developing a crush on the psychopathic witch. A week after their reunion, Cheshire was helping Akido practice their magic when she was unintentionally fused with the character of their favourite story, Alice in wonderland. She enjoyed this new form, and later would use it to help Akido with the gang she would form.
Appearance[]
Cheshire once had warm amber eyes, her hair was straight and blonde, but after the spell, her eyes turned lavender-pink and her hair became violet and slightly curly. Her fair skin never changed and she gained violet cat ears and a slick tail.
Personality[]
Cheshire is kind, caring, playful, and somewhat of a prankster. She enjoys messing with her friends, torturing people for information and taking care of her loved ones.
