A character who is canonically involved with and/or "shipped" with another character. It's typically described as an interpersonal relationship that involves physical or emotional intimacy. Although, the intimate relationship can be sexual, it could also be a non-sexual relationship as well (i.e. involving family, friends, and/or acquaintances).
