Characters that the original creator has left behind. Some authors will usually let the internet come up with their headcanons and fictional origins. Notable examples are the creators of Eyeless Jack and Ticci-Toby.
Azelf5000 (the author of Eyeless Jack) has openly admitted they regret their creation and were "ashamed" of writing it, despite its massive popularity. Soffbois (the author of Clockwork) and Jessica Halonen (the author of Carmen Winstead) have both expressed verbal hatred for their creations multiple times in the past as both characters' stories reveal personal information about the authors, going in depth about the dark times in their lives.
