These are Creepypastas characters/stories that deal with ghosts meaning they are the souls of the dead, lingering in the living world.

Unlike "Lingering Spirits", ghosts usually have a certain goal/motive to fulfill before reaching the afterlife. However - due to the majority of them being soul-bound to their place of death - these goals/motives usually are postponed until a more transportable party arrives (e.g trespassers, paranormal investigators, etc).
