He was already lost when the wedding bells rang.
~ Wednesday's Midnight Broadcast, the creepypasta he originates from

Allen Snyder is the protagonist of Wednesday's Midnight Broadcast. He is the spirit of a 22 year old man who has trapped himself in a white noise void after committing suicide with his TV on. It is rumored that every Wednesday, from 12:59 to 1:29, if you turn on a certain channel on your TV, you will be able to contact him.

Origin[]

Allen was 17 years old when this fiasco started. He was polite, rarely ever answering to insults, just nodding and moving on. Eventually, he fell in love with someone named Camellia Blanche. The two eventually began dating, until Allen was eventually forced to marry a girl named Dior Lanette. He didn't want to, but was pressured into obliging with the marriage.

Even worse, Dior was not only financially abusive, spending Allen and his family's money until they were on the brink of bankruptcy without consent, but she was also emotionally and physically abusive, if not controlling as well. Allen, lacking a backbone at this point, forced himself to suck it up, no matter how many scars she gave him.

However, he'd still talk with Camellia in private, using her as a confidant to vent her struggles to. However, Camellia had gotten married at this point; Allen tried to find happiness in that, but hers was warm and comforting, and he just got jealous about something he didn't have. Though, he didn't show it; He didn't want Camellia, the only joy he was clinging onto in life, to go away.

Though, it was inevitable that the day would come. 3 years after the two first married, Dior eventually found out about Camellia, and she beat Allen up, swearing she'd kill Camellia as soon as she found her. Allen, telling Camellia about this, made her swear she'd stay safe, since she had her husband to protect her.

Although, one day, she failed to reply to his messages, and Dior came back home, happier than usual. Allen, although being a little worried, thought nothing of this, until he was heading to a café he liked, and smelled something rotting in a nearby alleyway. Curiously, he decided to investigate. Since it was coming from a dumpster, he opened it up... His eyes widened, his palms trembled, and his face went pale.

There, inside that very dumpster, was Camellia's dead body. Her hands were missing and her chest was cut open, revealing a collection of horrible things Allen didn't want to see. Flies were still feasting on her corpse when he slammed down the lid.

Dior continued to use him until he didn't have anymore money, and that's when she left him. There he was, bruised and bloody from all the abuse he had persisted, heartbroken from the death of the person he held the closest to him, nothing more than a husk of what he originally was. Eventually, finding no more purpose to live, he killed himself in his own living room.

However, he woke up shortly afterwards, in a void filled with white noise, He was confused, until he saw a window of his living room, corpse included, but from a different angle. His confusion turned to fear as he realized the dire situation he was in: The TV was on when he had killed himself... He must have trapped himself inside his own TV. He tried screaming and calling for help, yet he was never a loud screamer; Nobody came for him. Suddenly, more windows opened, showing other people. Surely they'd help him, right...?

He is able to be contacted from 12:59 to 1:29 EST every Wednesday if you turn the TV to a certain channel. No matter how frantic his screams are, you are not able to help him. The best thing to to would be to try and comfort him about his situation. Trying to save him is a futile effort; He was already lost when the wedding bells rang.

Appearance[]

Allen has a greyscale color scheme, and appears to be melting. He has white skin, light grey eyes, and short, fluffy, dark grey hair. Allen wears a black suit over a white shirt with a dark grey tie, although he has a massive, gaping hole in his chest. He wears dark grey dress pants under his suit, and his legs melt away under his knees.

Personality[]

Allen is afraid and desperate, usually seen trying to escape his static prison despite him knowing it's futile. Although, when he's calmer, he's upset, although he's good with keeping secrets, as he wants at least someone who can trust him. Although, he can be a bit sensitive at times, though he tries not to lash out at anybody who he comes across, as he doesn't want to taint what little reputation he has. But, he's still evasive of his problems. He still holds feelings for Camellia, praying that she's somewhere out there, and that she'll find him eventually.

Abilities[]

Allen doesn't have much powers, although he can teleport. However, it's limited to his void, and he usually only uses it to get around faster. He can float, as well. In fact, he's mostly just floating.
