“ | "Normal is overrated. Let's go batshit CRAZY!" | „ |
~ Akido's most famous quote. |
“ | "People say they love you, but then they go and break your heart. That's a kind'o pain that hurts more than being stabbed. The way I see it, people who do that are just as bad as rapists and murderers. They don't get to live when they killed the joy of others and I won't let them." | „ |
~ Akido's reasoning behind her murders. |
Akido Evelyn Adair, more commonly known as Akido or Aponi, is a young, non-binary witch and a sadistic, insane serial killer who mutilates their victims in disturbing, gruesome ways. She is half-Latina, part-French, and part-Belgian. Their preferred pronouns are she/they.
Appearance[]
Civilian Appearance[]
Akido has deep brown hair, fluffy bangs and chocolate brown eyes. She has freckles littering her cheeks and nose. Their skin is slightly tan. She wears glasses. Their style isn't really strict as one day, she could be wearing a revealing outfit, then the next day they're dressed like a child. She wears a silver masquerade mask with a blue butterfly on the side when they kill. All over her arms and legs are scars shaped like butterflies, and the palms of their hands each has a burn scar, also shaped like a butterfly.
Normal Appearance[]
Akido looks similar to her civilian appearance with the exception of two appendages on their back. The appendage on the left resembles a face with jagged teeth and two eyes whilst the one on the right resembles a ribbon-like, three pointed claw with one eye. Both appendages are black and have yellow eyes with blood red sclera.
Slender's Daughter Form[]
In this form, Akido grows taller, reaching just under Slenderman's shoulders. Her hair grows longer and their face disappears, though her freckles stay. Their two appendages become longer as well. Her appendages remain visible, but the teeth and claws become more jagged. This form was developed while Akido was practicing their magic with Slender.
Zalgoide Form[]
She only achieves this form if Zalgo is nearby whilst they are in their civilian form- albeit against her will- or if they choose to, as long as she has energy stolen from him or another Zalgoid. They grows black horns on either side of their head as well as one in the middle like a unicorn and half of her face as well as her right sclera turns black, leaving a diagonal split from the lower right half of their face to the upper left half.
In this form, Akido struggles to speak, usually replacing some words with growls. Their appendages remain visible but become more tattered and damaged. This form was developed when Akido was kidnapped and harmed heavily by Zalgo, forcing them to steal energy from the dark lord to survive. It never affected the demon, but the magic caused her transformation. She became the vessel for a naamalgoid named Lamashtu. In this form, she hides from Lazari as too not cause her any headaches with Zalgo's scent, which lingers on her.
Lost Space Form[]
In this form, Akido has a pink tv for a head, with pink cat ears and a ton of cute stickers and bows around it. Their screen has a white face with big round, white eyes and a white mouth often shaped like a W. She is more silent in this form, but when they speak, there is a static that can be heard mixed with her voice. If the screen breaks, their real face can be seen hidden in the dark as a black, oil-like substance leaks out like blood. Sometimes, her tv head is prone to glitching out, causing erratic, jerky movements in their whole body.
Personality[]
Akido is usually upbeat and hyperactive. She can be quite oblivious and ditzy, mainly due to her autism. However, they can occasionally become extremely sassy and sarcastic. They do have anger issues and will lash out at someone if they get offended. In spite of this, she can show kindness towards certain people, and will shower them with compliments. Although she twitches and ticks sometimes, they don't mind, and will pretend nothing is wrong. Due to their autism, they can easily spiral into meltdowns when upset. During these "episodes", they become extremely destructive.
She loves to entertain the children of the mansion with her magic, casting spells with a big smile, or putting silly little curses on the residents that annoy her. Though, Akido is not too fond of using serious curses, they will do so if they deem it necessary. While in her Zalgoide form, she is more reserved and shy but extremely easily provoked. Despite their seemingly innocent personality, Akido can be extremely sick and sadistic, teasing her victims and prolonging their inevitable demise for her own amusement. Their kill method depends on their mood: The lower their mood or the more excited they get, the more gruesome and disturbing the deaths. Akido does not enjoy quick, painless methods, even when the victim is a child, and only does so if she is in a rush, is sick or tired.
Biography[]
Past[]
Akido was born a female on November 25th in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. She spent part of her life in the basement of her paternal grandmother's house with her mother, father and soon, her little brother Ryukko. They were often found playing with their cousins Raina Adair and Manuel Adair. Akido was born with a few mental disorders, which slightly hindered her ability to make friends, but it did not bother her as she felt as long as she had Raina by her side, she was never alone. The young children were often presumed to be twin sisters. While their mother was very kind and loving, their father was a little more distant.
He would smack her when she did something wrong and let his mother and brother pull her ears or hair if they saw fit. His brother also found joy in flinging elastics at the kids or launching coins, leaving marks on them. When her brother turned 2, it was discovered that where they lived was causing him to slowly begin dying, so they had to move. Despite this, the two children continued to remain close, seeing each other at school, and whenever Akido visited their grandmother. When Akido was nine, they, along with Raina, met a man with blonde hair and bright blue eyes claiming to be a friend when they went to the park with Raina's father. They unknowingly entered the man's car under the impression that he was a family friend with lots of candy for them who had asked Raina's father for permission to take them. As the two children were taught that their paternal extended family included most, if not everyone from the place their fathers were born in, they saw no reason not to believe him.
It was only when they arrived at the man's house that Akido realized the man was extremely dangerous and urged her cousin to run. Sadly, they were not fast enough and the man dragged them inside, trapping the poor children in a cage. The man left them for a few days before returning to take Raina. Trapped and helpless, Akido was forced to watch the sick man torture their beloved cousin until the poor girl gave into her pain and died. Akido began begging for freedom when she saw a tall, faceless man in a suit of darkness. Static began to fill their ears as they were teleported out of the cage. Taking her chance, the young child made a beeline for the exit, but the man immediately chased after her and managed to catch her. He began beating the young child, slicing them with a knife before stabbing them in the head and the stomach.
He dropped her tiny body before turning and leaving her to die. Slender teleported next to Akido and lifted their body, surprised to see they were still holding on, though barely. He healed the stab wounds before setting her down. Akido looked at him but before they could thank him, he disappeared. A newfound wave of adrenaline pulsed through her as she stood up and, ignoring the pain all over her body, ran. Akido did not stop running until they crashed into a police officer who was on break. She was immediately brought to the hospital for treatment, then reunited with her family.
Her Trip Down The Rabbit Hole[]
After Raina's death, Akido became closed off and paranoid. It didn't help that their paternal family blamed them for the incident and the abuse worsened. Her mother separated from him and she moved out. Akido, Ryukko and their mother moved houses quite often until they met their step-dad. She developed a ticking disorder as well as an anxiety disorder, hallucinations and paranoia. In an attempt to help them cope, their mother applied them into a cheerleading team. Akido quickly developed a passion for it, and soon, she was doing competitions and winning prizes with her team. Their best friend, who they claimed was her older brother, killed himself whilst on a phone call with them. Almost all her friends quickly distanced themselves from her after this, calling her a curse. Raina's older brother, Manuel, started acting...off, constantly finding excuses to "accidentally" grope the younger child. Akido kept silent because they felt like speaking up would simply get themself in trouble instead. One day, he attempted to force her to pleasure him, though she kept refusing until he gave up. If things couldn't get worse, their brother-in-law killed their older sister and niece and their older brother hung himself. One day in high school, after witnessing her uncle abuse Ryukko, Akido snapped and killed the older man when they were alone at home with the first thing she got her hands on, which were a pair of scissors she carried with her everywhere. Akido managed to escape before the cops arrived and ran into the forest.
Meeting Slenderman[]
Akido ran further and further into the forest until they, quite literally, ran into the front door of a mansion. Out of pure curiousity, the now-15 year old opened the door and entered, only to freeze in place as a familiar creature appeared in front of her. Realizing who it was, they quickly calmed down and spoke in a soft tone of voice. She thanked him for rescuing her, labelling him her hero. He offered them to stay with him, in exchange for their help to protect the mansion from the people living in town. Akido quickly agreed before revealing that she began studying witchcraft with her mother. They put a spell on the forest, declaring that no witch with bad intentions shall find the mansion nor feel the need to do so.
Impressed, Slender decided to help her train her magic. After a few years of training, Akido became an extremely powerful witch, strength matching that of Slender's. The two managed to create a strong bond, and they began referring to each other as family. When Slenderman brought in Masky and Hoodie and introduced them to Akido, the two men were hesitant to trust them. It didn't take long for them to see her insane side and they labelled her feral. For a few weeks, the two boys were hesitant to befriend them, no matter her attempts. Masky often shot Akido when they annoyed him, and Akido put minor curses to mess with their day. Eventually, she grew on them and they claimed her as their younger sibling.
One day, Akido left to find her little brother. When they arrived at their mother's house, they discovered that the young boy was severely beat by their father. Blinded by rage, Akido decided that Ryukko was not safe as long as he was not with her. They went to their father's house and murdered their entire family, laughing and enjoying it. She then returned to her mother, where she instructed Ryukko to pack his belongings whilst she killed her mother and step-father before taking the young boy and fleeing the town.
Becoming Aponi[]
Akido brought Ryukko to Toronto, where they moved in with a few of her remaining friends. The city was full of gangs and they had to be extra careful when navigating around. Akido had to pull their brother out of school after they could no longer pay to keep him in and they dropped out as well after secretly murdering a student who started dating their crush simply to upset them. She trained her magic often. When helping Akido practice her magic some more, the brunette made a joke about turning her friend, Cheshire Kiane, into the cheshire cat due to their matching names but unintentionally made a spell, turning her joke into reality. One day, Ryukko jokingly suggested that Akido should fight the leaders of the gangs and take all their places, then fuse the gangs into one big team. Wanting nothing more than to keep their brother happy, they agreed to do so, unaware that he was kidding. Akido came up with an alias, Aponi, which means butterfly in native american.
She chose this name because of all the butterflies she drew on her arms and legs to help cope with her depression back in middle school. At first, their attempts to meet with the leaders were in vain as the gang members beat and mocked them. They carved her drawings with knives, calling her a fragile doll. Despite this, Akido never gave up. That's when they remembered their training with Slender. She used her magic to defeat the members and confronted the leaders. They succeeded in their goal and was soon known all over Toronto as the child who took over the gangs. As leader, Akido treated everyone with respect and told them to treat each other with respect. She named the gang "El Familia Mariposa".
She brought all the gang members together one day and told them her new plan, which was to turn the gangs into one big mafia that would rid the world of terrible people she considered monsters. They were against this at first. A few of them told them they should step down as leader because they were too soft due to their kind personality. Akido proved them wrong when she burnt her hands with a red hot steel bar as a test of strength, leaving scars the shape of butterflies, and gave no reaction to the pain. After a few years of hard work, their mafia was complete. She owned a giant building that her gang could live in with a floor for orphan children they rescued. They became extremely close with the other members and they all considered each other family. Akido even paid someone to teach Ryukko how to use a gun and personally made him a magic barbecue lighter-flamethrower that can blast as much fire as he needs according to his intentions. Akido and Cheshire became closer and Akido asked Ches to be her girlfriend, to which the purple-haired girl agreed eagerly.
Returning to Slender[]
Akido and Ryukko occasionally left Toronto due to Akido keeping up a reputation as a competitive cheerleader in Whitby. When in town, they stayed with Slender's brother, Surrenderman. One day, Ryukko revealed to Akido that he made a few friends and asked for permission to invite them over. Akido, obviously, agreed. Ryukko was overjoyed. Later that they, his friends arrived and he introduced them to Akido as Sally Maryam Williams, a little ghost child and Lazari Swann, a little zalgoide halfling. Akido soon learnt that the two children live with their father and realized they made the mistake of not visiting him.
So she agreed to return with them to see him. Slender, although he didn't show it, was ecstatic to see his little child again. He managed to convince them to move back in. Although she accepted, she sent Ryukko back to Toronto for his safety. Masky and Hoodie were the last to see them as they were busy with a mission helping Splendorman up in a different city. Tears were shed that day as they had originally thought she left for good.
Developing her Zalgoide Transformation[]
As such a powerful witch, it is no surprise that Zalgo took an interest in the young child. During one of their many missions, Akido was taken by surprise by Stripes, who feigned innocence, and was knocked unconcious before being brought to Zalgo's mansion. She was locked in a room, unable to escape due to a spell placed on her to restrict all magic except for the ability to take energy. He requested that they take some of his, and become allies, but they refused.
Zalgo left her in the room, believing she'd cave if he kept her there long enough. When a few weeks passed and he gained no progress in getting Akido to agree, Zalgo got desperate and began beating them, trying to force them to obey. One day, he decided that perhaps, if he kidnapped and threatened her friends, she'd have no choice but to take his energy. Noticing that the zalgoide that brought Akido their lunch had left the door open, Akido- though incredibly injured- escaped and ran back to Slender's forest. Unfortunately, she didn't predict that she'd be caught and, before Akido reached her beaten friends, Zalgo grabbed her, taunting them before returning to his mansion. Infuriated, Zalgo scolded Akido for trying to run away, and stabbed them with his claws.
Now on the brink of death, Akido continued to refuse to take his energy. Unluckily, their body began to do it automatically. Trying to adjust to this new wave of foreign magic, Akido let out an ear-piercing, agonizing scream before passing out, entering her Wonderland mindscape where she met her naamalgoid, Lamashtu. While this was happening, their friends entered the mansion and heard their scream, which led them to the child. Once Zalgo left, they grabbed the young brunette and Slender teleported them home. When she awoke, Akido began her painful transformation. Afterwards, they were able to calm down and examine their new features. When attempting to call out for her brothers or father, they were horrified to learn of their speech impediment. It took a few weeks for Akido to adjust to this new form, but she eventually learnt how to handle it with help of Lamashtu.
Mindspace[]
Akido has a habit of zoning out. When this happens, it's usually because she is lost in thought, or she is in her mindspace. Using their magic, they built this dimension in order to cope with everything. She calls it her wonderland and she designed it in the theme of Alice in Wonderland. When they were younger, they had also built a dimension together with Raina, though it was imaginary, that they simply called their "other home" as a reference Raina's favorite movie Coraline. After Raina's death, Akido claimed that her "other home" started to fall apart due to one of the two creators passing and in turn, this caused the people they made up to "warp" in an effort to survive. Developing an interest in the weirdcore aesthetic, Akido managed to bring the "other home" to a still by forming it into a liminal space which they now call the lost space. In her wonderland is where her naamalgoid, Lamashtu, and her three creations; Silo, Viola and Angeliki, all reside when not in the real world. In the Lost space, they have their and Raina's creations; Another non-binary kid named Rhodie with a sunflower for a head, a young girl named Tiramisu Bailey with a face that seems to be scribbled and an older boy named Ajaz with a lollipop for a head and scribbled out face. A new person had also joined the group after Raina's death; A girl with a black misty orb for a head and hands. Akido believes this may be a new form for Raina and therefore calls this unknown person by their beloved cousin's name. Though no one knows for sure who she is. Akido themself has a tv head that they enjoy wearing in their mindspaces to fit in at times. She is able to bring other people into these dimensions if she so chooses but doesn't do so often as they are her safe spaces. Akido is able to bring the residents of either mindspaces into the real world. In the Lost Space, there are cities in which silhouettes roam. They resemble shadows of people with only visible, completely blue eyes. Akido calls them the "Hate-dwellers" and refers to them as the souls of her victims. They, along with the other Lost Space creations, avoid interacting with them as it usually ends up in a fight. Akido adds another Hate-dweller everytime she murders someone.
