So in the page about Jeff the Killer, it says that Jeff the Killer is a copyrighted character belonging to Sessuer. However, from what I reasearched, Sesseur actually has the rights to HIS version of Jeff, same goes to GameFuelTv with his creepypasta. Not only the character actually comes from a modified photo with basically no confirmed author and used by anyone for a long time, but the name "Jeff the Killer" isn't actually trademarked, since trademarks are something that must be actively maintained. Not only that, but there are lots of works that use Jeff which are commercially distributed and whose authors didn't ask Sesseur or GameFuelTv to do it, not even mentioning them anywhere. So you basically can make a young bloodthirsty killer and name it "Jeff the Killer", based him on the photo, and gain money from your work, without even needing Sesseur or GameFuelTv, and have no problem with anyone. In other words, Jeff the Killer is in the public domain, as long as you don't use any copyrighted stuff. Even other people said this.

Feedback and ideas are appreciated
So im doing a dark fantasy rewrite of numerous creepypastas as well as characters from the Slenderman mythos and Fear mythos.
I've been working on it for a while and, if you guys want, I can share some of what I've been making
Now when I say rewrite, im doing more than just giving some characters new powers, im rewriting their entire backstories, but only a few. Like Clockwork and Judge Angels
Right now im trying to figure out giving some characters special abilities.

The idea for Bloody Painter is to make him like Sai from Naruto Shippuden and give him art magic
Clockwork is the one im most stuck on. I want to give her a power that involves time manipulation, but that gets really hard to work around. So then I thought, what if I just give her berserker rage, but Jeff was going to have that.
If you guys want, I can upload some snippets of worldbuilding notes, and other things.

Jeff the killer. Reason: it ruined the entire genre of oc pastas, every time a oc pasta existed, it was marked as a JTK ripoff. (kinda sad)
